On our never-ending quest to improve this place by listening to feedback from the B&B, we are taking a new tack with these product posts, choosing instead to focus on items we use and have deployed in our travels. It says the rechargeable battery lasts for about 12 hours but I’ve never really gotten more than eight or nine.

General Motors’ luxury arm has just previewed the Cadillac Optic — which looks to be offering a tad more utility than the brand’s larger Lyriq EV. Otherwise, the Optiq isn’t a bad looking vehicle (inside or out) and very obviously a Cadillac product and has retained a fair number of physical buttons.

Cheap to run but expensive to buy, they offer theprospect of low or zero carbon emissions, but manufacturers won’t sell themunless motorists want to buy them – and motorists won’t buy unless the priceis right and there are enough places to charge the batteries. Is it becuase US market prefers a "home" product?
