So we set out to show the industry what needed to be done so that the Flying Js, the Chevrons, the BPs of the world would understand that this needs to be built and that they had some support in doing so. If we’re going to hit the numbers we need to hit for fleet adoption, we need as many places for those vehicles to recharge as possible.

Furthermore, changing the battery pack on say a Toyota Prius often costs a fortune, at least in most European countries, so such cars better be VERY cheap, but they’re not. Chevron owns the NiMH patents and have not allowed EV size batts to be built. In most conversions cost is about the same because of needless weight.
