The Hertz Corporation, which includes the Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty brands, has expanded of its Green Traveler Collection car rental fleet to include the 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid ( earlier post ) in select cities across the US. All of the Green Traveler cars have fuel efficiency ratings starting at 33+ highway mpg.

Based on the advertised EPA estimates, I would have been OK with low 40’s.but 28-33 mpg is not even in the ballpark. Real-world MPG estimates should have been promoted in the mid-30’s. Real-world MPG estimates should have been promoted in the mid-30’s. How these MPG estimates made it through Ford corporate is beyond me!
