As I opened the door to the alpha build Gravity prototype, which was a suspension and platform mule, the car didn’t wake up. Is that a wagon?

The Wrangler 4xe (pronounced “four-by-e”) will become Jeep’s third plug-in hybrid for Europe, where far more stringent emission rules encourage plug-in cars of all types. In Electric mode, we found the Wrangler 4xe delivered 20 to 25 miles of electric range in mixed usage. The two couldn’t be more different. 54k MSRP.

The EV discussion groups take this up and, with huge amounts of optimism, tell us that we will soon have the ability to instantly charge our electric cars at home or on the highway.

Just as we have become accustomed to plugging in our cell phones everyday, the habit of plugging in your car after returning home could easily become second nature. The only time involved is the few seconds it takes to plug in and later, unplug, your car and possibly press a button. Hey, maybe you got an email during the drive, right?
