In the US, Audi has already introduced five production models: the Audi Q5 TFSI e, A7 TFSI e and A8 TFSI e plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) as well as the e-tron all-electric SUV and upcoming e-tron Sportback. For the e-tron GT, Audi is sharing synergies with the Porsche brand, which developed the J1 architecture.

Genesis currently does not offer any hybrid vehicles, but as the up-market division of Hyundai they certainly could. Our review of the not-so-much-smaller 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid returned stellar fuel economy topping 50 miles per gallon. The dash had real carbon fiber trim along with a minimal use of brushed aluminum.

We have hybrids in our program to lower fuel consumption, mild hybrids, full hybrids, plug in hybrids coming out this year and of course we are working on the pure electric drive. Škoda, as one example, will be offering a plug-in hybrid. —Christian Buhlmann. Volkswagen is electrifying all vehicle classes.
