In addition, buy-down incentives totaling $1,094,000 were awarded for alternative-fuel vehicles. Purchased vehicles must be registered and driven in California at least 90% of the time for three years. Of that, $66,000 is reserved for the buy-down of 11 propane vehicles of 8,501 to 14,000 pounds gross vehicle weight.
