Competition is going to force them to produce a comfortable, usable, extended range EV for that price, and I will just have to wait. For extended range I guess one could carry a fairly modest generator set in the trunk to avoid ever being stranded. and your Honda/Sony car will be perfectly happy with any Durcell/Energizer pack just like AA calls in your flashlight. my idea is that it would work the way propane tanks work now.
