The Buick LaCrosse is adding eAssist light electrification for the 2018 model. Compared to previous Buick eAssist executions ( earlier post ), this newest iteration is more sophisticated, powerful and compact. It will be the standard powertrain for the 2018 LaCrosse, which goes on sale this fall.

General Motors and its joint ventures in China set a July record for deliveries. Retail sales increased 6.3% The Buick, Cadillac and Baojun brands reached all-time highs for July sales, while Chevrolet posted growth of 24% on an annual basis. Sales in the first seven months totaled 2,053,409 units.

In China, SAIC-GM-Wuling officially launched the Baojun E100, the brand’s first fully-electric vehicle. Separately, Buick brought to market the all-new Regal for China. Ten variants, including a hybrid electric, are available priced between RMB 175,800 and RMB 269,800 (US$26,000 and US$39,900). Buick Regal.
