A new body shop with a total area of 75,500 square meters will produce the vehicle bodies for the next generation of the Macan—which will be a fully electric series—from the beginning of the next decade. The factory was opened in 2002 and started with series production of the Cayenne SUV with 259 employees.

Bentley Motors today announced an extension of its forward-thinking Beyond100 business strategy, now called Beyond100+, from 2030 to 2035. Bentley has also confirmed that its first fully electric car to be revealed in 2026 promises to create an entirely new segment, the world’s first true Luxury Urban SUV.

Bentley has given us our first look at the 105-year-old maker’s first EV, and announced that it will be the “world’s first true luxury urban SUV” when sales being in 2026. Rumoured to measure in at less than five-metres, the new silhouette previews what will become the firm’s most compact Bentley yet.

The British luxury car manufacturer Bentley has pledged to become carbon neutral by 2030 and planning to release their first electric vehicle in 2025. Bently has also launched a new initiative called the Five-in-Five plan, which calls for the company to release a new electric vehicle every year from 2025 through 2030.

That hasn’t stopped Lotus being bullish in a press release issued this week, saying its decision means it will be the first “established sports car maker in the world to have a fully electric product range”. German giant Porsche is pushing hard on EVs, with the Taycan already on sale and the next Macan SUV set to go electric.

Read more Jaguar is gearing up to go fully electric, and in preparation to that, the auto company has decided to not sell any new cars in its home market until 2026. This move comes as part of the brand’s strategy of going fully electric. Jaguar is aiming to go fully electric from 2025.
