Van Hool, the Belgium-based independent bus, coach and industrial vehicles manufacturer, has landed a significant contract with RVK Köln and WSW Wuppertal (Germany), to supply 40 hydrogen buses of the latest generation. The eight hydrogen-powered tram-buses Van Hool is manufacturing for Pau (France) should be added to this total.

Operated by WaterstofNet , the Flemish/Southern Netherlands hydrogen network station is co-financed by the EU Interreg program. The station features a Hydrogenics HySTAT electrolysis system designed and built by Hydrogenics’ Belgium-based On-Site Generation division.

Air France entered service with the GP7200-powered A380 in late 2009 and has three A380s in its fleet to date. Other GP7200 customers include Korean Air, Etihad Airways, Air Austral and International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC). Emirates is Airbus’ largest A380 customer with orders for 90 of the aircraft.

The light commercial vehicle manufacturer, a subsidiary of China’s largest vehicle manufacturer SAIC Motor, is also announcing LeasePlan as its exclusive partner in Europe, as it prepares for its full brand launch in 2019. The fleet division is making the Maxus EV80 available to more than 200 major fleet operators in Europe.
