The EVer (Electric Vehicle extended range) powertrain of the Fisker Karma. Fisker Automotive published its first business update, announcing that revenues had exceeded $100 million in the first four months of 2012. The latest funding has lifted the overall financing beyond $1 billion since the start of the company in 2007.

This new company, Bright Automotive , is founded by ex-GM EV1 people, and the super efficient Rocky Mountain Institute to make plug-in hybrids in Indiana. Bright Automotive says it soon release an electric car with a 100 mile per gallon plus plug-in – and the company says it will keep the car economically priced. Lose weight.
