Using Georgia Tech-owned golf carts to prove out the technology, a person sitting in a remote location can access real-time video streamed over LTE to drive the carts. It allows drivers to pay for parking meters by mobile phone, and identifies the closest available parking spots to the driver’s final destination.

None of the new electric cars are planning to use old-tech lead acid batteries. But it would have made EV’s better for 10 yrs until now had they been available. Used Cell phone tower battery takeouts are inexpensive and available about everywhere if you call around. Now add much cheaper materials and NiMH is now obsolete.
