In a lot of ways, the Tesla Model S Plaid is the ultimate sleeper. Recently, however, one of the Model S Plaid’s lesser-known innovations was highlighted by motoring publication Car and Driver , which noted that the new flagship Tesla is the quickest charging EV it has tested to date.

On the positive side, 55% or 45 of the EVs that are or will be available in 2022 have a base MSRP below $60,000. And while there are no EVs available today below $20,000, there are five that have a base MSRP below $30,000 including the popular selling Chevrolet Bolt EV and EUV.

Reply Neutral KilgoreTrout @ Apr 19th 2009 5:14PM True, but if I havent been mislead by the documentary I have seen, the Tesla should have an even better solution: you just plug it in any normal home outlet and it doesnt require any special plug. Tesla probably did not sign up because they are already making EV cars.

Hit the jump for a comparison that includes plenty of pics and video. It is thought that the cars that Renault is building to function with the Better Place model will have the ability to have its power supply swapped and the newly announced Tesla Model S is said to also incorporate this concept. Just one remark from a practitioner.
