The 6kW Wattstation, introduced in 1910, was the earliest prototype of charging equipment for electric cars, and the mercury rectifier was still used to convert AC to DC. When these cars ran out of power, the battery was usually removed from the car and installed back in the vehicle after charging in the Battery room. Corner of Battery Room.
