Volvo Cars China and Shanghai International Automobile City Group—a local government supervision authority— will undertake a demonstration program with two Volvo C30 Electric cars in the community of Jiading outside Shanghai. In June 2011, Volvo Car Corporation started the production of the Volvo C30 Electric.

Montesa Honda, Barcelona City Council and RACC, Spain’s leading Automobile Club will work together to carry out daily research and monitoring activities on the EV-neo’s usage in Barcelona. The EV-neo has a range of 34 km (21 miles) at 30 km/h (19 mph) on level ground. kW motor and a 0.9 hours at 25°C.

Siemens Corporate Technology , Siemens’ research organization, supplied the drive systems for the prototypes of two electric cars shown at the Geneva Motor Show. The vehicle has a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) and a range of 250 km (155 miles), with 320 km (199 miles) possible with an enlarged battery pack. Source; Siemens CT.

The Jiefang 12-meter hybrid bus can carry 103 passengers and travel at a maximum speed of 85 km/h (53 mph). As the vehicle slows, during braking, the electric motor functions as a generator to recharge the batteries. The Enova drive system will be integrated and branded under the name of Jiefang.

That event was meant to show that the new company, a combination of the old Fiat Chrysler Automobiles with Europe’s Peugeot Citroën, had the plans to electrify its model line that FCA conspicuously lacked. The e-motor also provides regenerative braking to recharge the battery, and there’s an integrated 33 kW (44 hp) starter-generator as well.

Per BMW’s press release the MINI E will be motivated by a 150kW electric drive system with a range of 150 miles per charge and a top speed of 95 mph. Specially engineered for automobile use, the battery technology will have a range of more than 240 kilometers, or 150 miles.
