EPA annual trends report finds new vehicle fuel economy at record 24.1 mpg; new powertrain technologies rapidly gaining share

The detailed data supporting the report were obtained directly from automobile manufacturers. Nine of the eleven main manufacturers increased average gasoline and diesel vehicle fuel economy from MY 2012 to MY 2013. Chrysler-Fiat had the highest CO2 emissions and lowest fuel economy, followed by GM.
