Audi has opened its e-gas plant in Werlte, making it the first automobile manufacturer to develop a chain of sustainable energy carriers. In return, this plant supplies the highly concentrated CO 2 required as a basic building block for the e-gas. This gives it a total range of some 1,300 kilometers (808 miles).
