Underneath the e-fuels banner, Audi also includes renewable electricity for recharging its e-tron vehicles (“e-power”) and, should the market so require it, “green” hydrogen (e-hydrogen, derived in the e-gas process). Now we imagine the maximum scenario: e-tron plug-in hybrid drive under the hood and e-fuel in the tank.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. Considering how much GM plugs we do 80% of our driving in the city, those highway miles dont get much use. The car is expected to cost around $40,000.
