It is anticipated that the e-gas from Werlte will power 1,500 new Audi A3 Sportback g-tron vehicles for 15,000 kilometers (9,321 miles) of CO 2 -neutral driving every year. This gives it a total range of some 1,300 kilometers (808 miles). Customers can order a quota of e-gas when they purchase the car.

Around 1,500 Audi A3 Sportback g-tron cars can be driven 15,000 carbon-neutral kilometers (9,300 miles) each year on the e-gas from Werlte, since the CO 2 emitted from the exhaust system had been bound previously during the production of the e-gas. Customers can order a supply of Audi e-gas when purchasing their g-tron.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. Ive found it facinating how car commercials changed the main MPG number they promoted before gas went over $4 a gallon as city miles. Thats right.
