According to the IEA, this way of creating green hydrogen would avoid the 830 million tonnes of CO2 released annually when the hydrogen is produced using fossil fuels. Denmark did that with Wind Power and now most of their energy comes from wind rather than oil, natural gas, or coal. We should have built more Nuclear power plants and created a nuclear waste recycling program. Generating electricity from wind and geothermal rather than a CO2 producing sources would help alleviate that problem.
