Denmark did that with Wind Power and now most of their energy comes from wind rather than oil, natural gas, or coal. they didnt consider the fact that China was a nation with a appetite that would have well made the EV1 a profitable venture even if the cars tragically lasted longer, and cost less to build and maintain.
