Executive comments suggest that Cadillac could continue to sell gasoline vehicles beyond its 2030 target date for going all-electric, reports Automotive News. Cadillac was the first of GM’s brands to be on board with its strong EV-focused vision, and announced plans to go all-EV by 2030 in 2019.

Cadillac has revealed an entry EV for the GM luxury brand that doesn’t seem so entry-level in size, technology, or price. It’s a new, simplified design that will appear in other upcoming Cadillac EVs—including the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ —and the headlamps will show at a glance what your state of charge is as you go.

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV full-size electric pickup truck was first delivered in Work Truck specification to fleet buyers nearly a year ago; but only now can civilians take one home. That’s more than any other electric truck on the market, and it should reassure shoppers who can afford one that they won’t run out of range unexpectedly.

It is the third best-selling SUV for Cadillac, coming in behind the larger Escalade and XT5, but ahead of the XT6 and Lyriq EV. liter 4-cylinder engine that puts out 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque (on premium gasoline), driving either the front or all-four wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
