They are either glorified golf cart city cars like this one or they are only for the very wealthy like the Tesla. Today we could be using lead-acid EVs, lead-carbon-acid EVs, or nickel metal hydride or lithium-ion hybrids. Electric cars a still a joke.

80 miles was the range of the EV1 with Lead Acid batteries, that GM tried to use because they wanted the project to fail. You guys go ahead and buy your 40 mile per charge GM golf cart. it was the first batch of EV1s that they tried to use lead acid batteries and developed problems. check your facts.
