No less an auto industry titan as Ford has also made bidirectional charging a selling point of their F-150 Lightning electric truck, reportedly slated to roll off the lines this year. In case of power outage at home, the DC pins in the charger can send juice back into the house, keeping the lights on.

Before cofounding AC Propulsion, Alan Cocconi worked on Sunraycer, a solar-powered car for GM. And the auto industry had just canceled the battery EV.

If the EV1 was viable (or even close) we would see Ford, Toyota, Honda, etc all with 80 mile cars right now.do A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator.
