Polestar and BYD were two of the new EV brands that arrived during the year and brands as diverse as Volkswagen and GWM confirmed their intention to start selling electric vehicles here in 2023. The BYD Atto 3 was my biggest surprise of 2022. A new government and a change in mindset made 2022 a significant year for electric cars.
