In a pre-response to that speech, having successfully advocated for plug-in hybrids like the forthcoming Chevy Volt, we propose that the President follow that speech up with a “realistic and conservative” roadmap to halve our oil use in 10 years. Oil is holding us all hostage, economically and physically. Finally, it’s time to begin.

The Renault-Nissan Alliance is building fleet charging stations in Portland and Phoenix. Duh, heres our $40K volt, buy it please? Several global indicators on the supply of oil and the known carbon pollution environmental damages its caused all lead us to find cleaner ways of transportation.

Millions of EVs and PHEVs would expand the sale of electricity as an alternative to oil. Instead they could buy back electricity at peak hours from vehicle drivers. GM killed that car because of back room deals with oil companies, and now they expect us to believe that they are just so cutting edge now? THE GOV NEEDS TO GET THIER HEADS OUT OF THE SAND,THIS IS SO BIG.
