General Motors. The Saturn VUE hybrid posted 188 units, for 6.4% The Saturn Aura posted 23 units, representing 1.5% of all Auras sold. The GS 450h posted 22 units, a 71.4% by volume year-on-year, representing 3.7% of all GS models. The LS 460h L also sold 22 units for an 80.4% drop, representing 3.1%

In an online blog, General Motors’ (GM) vice chairman Tom Stephens stated that the company will apply plug-in hybrid technology to one of its four core brands followings its’ restructuring. The company will be divided into Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick following the decision to close Pontiac and sell Saturn.

General Motors. GM hybrids currently comprise the Chevrolet Malibu, Saturn Aura and Vue BAS hybrids; and the Tahoe, Silverado, Yukon, Sierra, and Cadillac Escalade two-mode hybrids. GM reported a total of 1,454 hybrid vehicles delivered in the month, up 26.5% year-on-year.

General Motors: The company sold 1,534 units in April which consisted of: 523 two-mode SUVS (Tahoe, Yukon Escalade); 95 two-mode pick-ups (Silverado, Sierra); 547 Malibu hybrids; 338 Saturn VUE hybrids; 31 Saturn Aura hybrids. Meanwhile, the Ford Escape and Mariner hybrids saw sales drop by 40.5 per cent to 19 units.
