Allison Transmission announces global availability of 9-speed transmission, expanded electrification portfolio at IAA CV

At IAA Commercial Vehicles, Allison Transmission announced that it will offer its medium-duty, fully automatic 9-speed transmission globally, and that it has developed an electric hybrid system with purely electric extended range. Support for additional applications and global regions is planned.

ROUSH CleanTech develops propane autogas fuel system for the Ford E-350

Each of the extended-range shuttles will emit about 90,000 fewer pounds of carbon dioxide over its lifetime compared to gasoline-fueled counterparts. Historically, propane autogas costs up to 40% less than gasoline and 50% less than diesel, and reduces maintenance costs due to its clean-burning properties.
