Novelis is supplying aluminum solutions for the all-new Jaguar XFL , the first Jaguar model from Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Co., The XFL launched in China on 29 August and features a body-in-white made of 75% aluminum, the highest aluminum content achieved by an automaker to date in the Chinese automotive marketplace.

The $180-million investment will double the facility’s production capacity of heat-treated aluminum sheet by 100,000 metric tons in order to better meet the growing demand for automotive aluminum in Asia.
