US electronics retailer Best Buy will soon offer charging stations after reaching an agreement with ECOtality, Inc. Level two, J1722-compliant charging stations will be installed at 12 Best Buy stores in Tucson, Arizona; Phoenix, Arizona; San Diego, California; Los Angeles, California; and Seattle, Washington.

Perhaps it won’t work quite like that, but a McDonald’s restaurant in Cary, North Carolina, will become the first location in the fast food restaurant chain in more than a decade to offer electric car recharging. For now it seems the charging spot at McDonald’s is likely to empty for a number of years.
