Whatever it is, during our week driving the Tucson Hybrid through Southern California, it drew plenty of attention and comments.

While some SUVs have numb steering, reducing road feel, this was not the case with the Escape PHEV, as there was never a time or situation where we felt disconnected from the tires and the road, including feeling planted around sweeping turns. The full EVs as just starting to arrive (like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 ).
