These projects put more than 9,000 alternative fuel and energy-efficient light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles on the road, and establish 542 refueling locations across the country. The project will deploy 502 alternative fuel and advanced technology vehicles through 119 public and private fleets throughout the state.

To provide further support, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) and the New York Power Authority (NYPA) have reached an agreement which includes more than $1 million in funding for a new program to help the five large upstate and suburban transit operators develop plans to convert to all-electric transit buses.

The 300 new vans being retrofitted by Steelweld will be used in Southern California by Verizon technicians who install and repair broadband, TV and voice communications services for the company’s residential and small-business customers. Verizon will add more than 260 hybrid vehicles to its New Jersey fleet this year.

The IRA restores the 30% tax credit for an EVSE, and its cost of installation, to a maximum credit of $1000 (businesses may claim a larger amount). Originally, this credit ended last year, but has now been extended for installations through 2022 and is retroactive to the beginning of the year.
