San Pedro Bay Ports release draft of 2017 Clean Air Action Plan Update; $7-$14 billion price tag

The ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach released the draft of their proposed 2017 C lean Air Action Plan (CAAP) Update. A preliminary analysis estimates the cost of implementing the 2017 CAAP at $7 billion to $14 billion. The document’s release kicks off a public review and comment period that extends through 18 Sept.

We refueled with CNG twice; once locally (with a partial fill, more on this below), and once off the I-5 on the way up to Los Angeles. As with any alternative fuel, be it CNG, LPG, electricity, hydrogen or E85, one of the challenges facing its adoption is both the availability of the fuel as well as the mechanics of refueling.
