Nissan’s Canton Vehicle Assembly Plant in Mississippi will become a center for US EV production, including the INFINITI brand. The company is investing $500 million in Nissan Canton to support production of two all-new, all-electric vehicles. Production is expected to begin in 2025.

Nissan is the latest OEM to reach an agreement with Tesla to adopt the North American Charging Standard (NACS) beginning in 2025, providing Nissan customers even more choices when it comes to charging their electric vehicle. Nissan is the first Japanese automaker to announce future product support for NACS.

EV Demand A new study suggests that consumers are more concerned with model choices than with energy savings when turning to electric vehicles (EVs). Nissan Leaf is ranked as least expensive 2022 EV. Nissan Fifteen for ‘30 New Infinity and Nissan models will be built in Mississippi and are part of the plan to launch 15 EVs by 2030.
