Volkswagen of America (VWoA) has started of production of its all-electric ID.4 the company’s first electric vehicle assembled in the United States. 4 is Volkswagen Group’s most popular all-electric model, with 190,000 units delivered to customers globally since its launch in 2021. Mercedes-Benz has announced the launch of a new battery production plant in Bibb County, Alabama, as the German automaker prepares for a commitment to make all of its vehicles electric by 2030.
