2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV Drivers of the Chevy Bolt EV may qualify for a $3,000 discount on the Chevy Equinox EV. And the Chevrolet Silverado EV RST electric truck got a lower price than anticipated, as well as more miles of EPA range than it was originally supposed to get. Now, GM reportedly seeks a similar deal with CATL.

ACE-EV X1 Transformer – Australian-based start-up plans a small range of affordable EVs focused on light commercial duties. $5 Avatar E11 – a new brand with big dreams, Avatar has input from Huawei and CATL and is the product of Chinese car maker Changan. Chevrolet Silverado EV will have an EV range of up to 650km.

Chevy already previewed an all-electric compact crossover and a pickup truck, and announced in April that it would build an all-electric Silverado with an estimated 400 miles of rated range at its Factory Zero EV assembly plant in Detroit. The Buick Velite 7 was launched late in the summer of last year in the Chinese market.

We’re not holding our breath for that mythical $30,000 Chevrolet Equinox EV, but we figured retail versions of Chevy’s Silverado EV pickup truck and Blazer EV SUV would have reached the market by now. For that reason, the EX30 stands alone—and that makes it an important, and affordable, EV for this year.

However, until mainstream public confidence reaches the point where the perceived combination of risks of a battery electric vehicle purchase (range, affordability, reliability and behavioral changes) match that of an ICE vehicle, then EV purchases are going to be the exception rather than the norm. Posted by: Green Chambers | Apr 14, 2009 12:25:03 AM Battery tech is still not advanced or reliable enough for an affordable pure EV, hydrogen fuel cells like in the FCX Clarity may be the clean future, but there are too many technical and infrastructure hurdles to overcome.
