But other parts of the country aren’t following suit. That’s about double the average for gasoline vehicles.

Exact figures on industry sales are hard to pin down; yet The New York Times quoted experts saying Americans bought roughly 500,000 e-bikes in 2020, compared to about 210,000 plug-in automobiles. Industry analysts expect that uptick in adoption to continue. Aside from bearings, there are no moving parts, nothing to wear out.

They leased a few (at a loss) to those that could afford it. that car was missing precisely what the Volt (and any other would-be electric car under consideration today) is missing -- an appropriate battery technology that provides decent power within a decent weight and space constraint at anything approaching a decent price.
