Aptera, initially known as Accelerated Composites, formed in 2005 to bring highly efficient, three-wheeled vehicles to the market ( earlier post ), went out of business in 2011.

.&# Sure, if you need to make lots of long trips in a car, and can only afford to have one car, then probably a Tesla’s not for you. A Tesla or other electric with similar range would suit me just fine… The problem with the Volt, though, is that it’s just an incredibly ugly car. Where is affordable.
