General Motors’ Arlington, Texas, Assembly plant will soon be able to build up to 125,000 trucks a year using wind power. Arlington Assembly produces more than 1,200 vehicles daily, including the Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe; GMC Yukon and Yukon XL; and Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV. million in energy costs annually.

In September 2020, fire crews in Liverpool, England, were called to a 20 MW battery storage plant after an explosion had occurred to find a large grid battery system container on fire. Recent fires at battery storage facilities in Surprise, Arizona, and Liverpool, England, highlighted the dangers these kinds of fires can present.
