According to its initial assessment, XL is reporting that the XLP F-250 truck will provide up to a 50% improvement in miles driven per gallon (MPG) over conventional factory units, while reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 33% during normal operation. The EPA 46 MPG Is Only the Start. Sometimes the EPA is spot-on, but commonly we exceed its numbers by a few miles per gallon. You had me at 46 MPG. Adding electric miles. Adding together the gasoline and electricity, the EPA estimates 105 MPGe (Miles Per Gallon Equivalent). Wonderfully Efficient.
