GM, shifting focus to pure EVs, built the last Volt on February 19, 2019. Geo renamed the Nova as the Geo Prizm and added other models jointly produced with Isuzu and Suzuki in North America and Japan, but separated them from its “American” cars. This summer, it will be joined by the Bolt EUV variant.

In addition to the 2025 CR-V e:FCEV for consumers, Honda Motor Company and Isuzu Motors Limited are branching into the area of commercial vehicles. This is a history, with an * next to models currently in production. The need for more stations is necessary if this fuel is to ever gain consumer acceptance for their everyday vehicles.

Conversely, big guns such as Toyota, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi, Isuzu and Subaru didn’t sell a single EV between them – and Ford logged one of its upcoming E-Transits as sold in 2022. PHEVs are still tiny in Australia. In 2022 there were 5937 PHEVs sold locally, a 76 percent increase on the prior year. EVs are sold.
