DOE launches wave energy competition

DOE announced the Wave Energy Prize at the International Marine Renewable Energy Conference co-located at the National Hydropower Association Annual Conference. Participants can register through June 15, 2015. Marine and hydrokinetic energy technologies convert the energy of waves, tides, and river and ocean currents into electricity.

HEI ACES study of lifetime animal exposure to New Technology Diesel Engine exhaust finds no lung cancer

The ACES results are expected to play an important role in future risk reviews of diesel engines by international and US agencies. The core study was led by Dr. Jacob McDonald, of Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute (LRRI) in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where the exposures were carried out. Research Report 184.
