Nissan leads with transfer of California ZEV credits out for year ending 30 Sep 2014

Between 1 October 2013 and 30 September 2014, Nissan transferred out 663.6 This latest credit balance report reflects ZEV regulation compliance through model year 2013, representing a total of 3.5 Large volume manufacturers for the 2013 model year included the big six: Chrysler, Ford, GM, Honda, Nissan and Toyota.

California ARB considering modifications to ZEV regs to provide more flexibility for intermediate volume manufacturers

In October 2013, ARB staff proposed minor modifications to the ZEV Regulation. Beginning in the 2021 model year, a manufacturer exceeding the 20,000 vehicle threshold will need to prepare to bring ZEVs to market per the LVM requirements; the ARB expects most IVMs will make ZEVs available for sale by the 2026 model year.
