Ground was broken in September 2012, and the topping-out ceremony was celebrated in December. Audi built the e-gas plant in collaboration with the plant construction specialist ETOGAS GmbH (formerly SolarFuel) ( earlier post ) and its project partner MT-BioMethan GmbH on a 4,100 m 2 (44,132 sq ft) plot of land owned by EWE AG.

Peripheral circumstances are different everywhere, says TNT CO2 manager Mr Bjorn Sawilla. National pilots Using CNG, like TNT Germany, has many benefits on local air quality but is only a temporary solution, because it doesnt solve the problem of CO2 emissions. In the Netherlands TNT is still piloting EVs.

It will appear in Europe next year as the Opel Ampera and in Australia as the Holden Volt in 2012. Generating electricity from wind and geothermal rather than a CO2 producing sources would help alleviate that problem. The intolerable act is to pretend that making cars into plug-ins will reduce CO2.
