Valeo’s second generation Stop-Start system will be launched by PSA Peugeot Citroën in the third quarter of 2010. The system, coupled with the HDi diesel engines of the Peugeot and Citroën brands, will be featured on both manual and automated manual transmission models and will equip a million vehicles by 2013.

Oxygen scooters for Europe boast Italian engineering and design and are assembled by its partner Peugeot Motorcycle (PMTC), part of the PSA Group, in France. Oxygen has announced that by 2010 it expects to double its supply to Swiss Post, Correos (Spain) and Poste Norge as well as its other main institutional customers.

Peugeot has released the specifications for the iOn EV—based on the Mitsubishi iMiEV ( earlier post )—in advance of the Paris Auto Show. Peugeot is planning to put the electric vehicle on sale at the end of this year. Peugeot says that it will market the iOn based mainly on an “all-inclusive” mobility offer.
