In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. This is from "Commercializing Plug-In Hybrids" (pdf), the current CalCars 24-slide presentation about PHEVs available along with other documents at CalCars Downloads. Has shown some concept fuel-cell PHEVs. Batteries not ready.
