Customers whose cars were made in China but would prefer that people thought otherwise can have the option of showing the American logos, at a subscription cost of $US8 a month. Most tellingly, though, I just don’t think the interior or the touchpoint feel premium enough for the price. Nor would I buy one. Outselling Tesla?

ACE-EV X1 Transformer – Australian-based start-up plans a small range of affordable EVs focused on light commercial duties. $5 Audi e-Tron GT – the BEV guts of the regular e-Tron (also shared with Porsche’s Taycan) in a coupe-inspired four-door body. Sleeker Sportback model will also be part of the e-Tron S range.
