The news that General Motors would relaunch the infamous Hummer name—as an all-electric truck no less—broke a few days before the high-dollar, high-visibility 2020 Super Bowl ad that introduced that vehicle to the world. The name isn’t its own brand; the 2022 GMC Hummer EV will be sold as a model line within the GMC luxury truck brand.

Lucid is a new entry in the electric vehicle (EV) market, but the company—founded in 2007—has some of the leading engineers on power train efficiency. Ditto for the GM Hummer. It has triple the power density of the best Tesla equivalent and represents a staggering improvement over an internal combustion engine vehicle.

Posted by: Brian A | Apr 15, 2009 6:06:59 AM Ive heard some good arguments that a Hummer is a greener choice than the Prius, or presumably and electric vehicle using similar batteries. Just hope that we switch over to HHO (Hydrogen-Hydrogen-oxygen) gas before the "Battery thing" gets out-of-control.
