The US Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has published a report summarizing interviews with participants in the hydrogen-powered buses trials underway in more than 20 cities around the world from 2002 to 2007. Fuel cell hybrid buses are deployed in North America, at AC Transit and SunLine in California, and CTTRANSIT in Connecticut.

MW fuel cell power park opened in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and the world’s largest fuel cell power plant, 59 MW, was installed in Korea. Honda had 52, putting it in fourth place behind Samsung, but overall the company is number two as far as cumulative patents since 2002. Intellectual property; automakers dominate.
