Ferreira's first job, in 1981, was at the Institute of Power Electronics and Electric Drives at Aachen University , in Germany.

In 2002 Fraser retired and founded Fraser Research , in Princeton, N.J., He earned his bachelor’s degree in aeronautical engineering in 1958 from the University of Bristol , in England. where he continued his networking work.
